“Stir it Up” is an exciting community series for persons 60+, hosted by The Friendship Centers and Kobernick-Anchin-Benderson. From the opening icebreaker to speed dating, and a rock’n’roll dance party, it’s an evening of fun and an opportunity to meet new friends. Tickets are $20, and include light fare and wine. A buy one ticket, get one free special until Aug. 10, is an added incentive to bring a friend. “We’re looking for a few good men, because finding a balance between male and female attendees is a challenge, not just in Sarasota, but nationwide,” said Giasson. At this time, reservations for women are filled.

The series opener, June 8, at Kobernick-Anchin-Benderson, drew 47 singles ranging in age from 50 to 94, and attendees had a great time getting to know each other on each 5 minute “date.”
